What is Cord?
Cord is a songwriting app that keeps voice recordings, lyrics, and the people writing with you inside one shared session. Instead of a melody living in voice memos, feedback in a message thread, and the lyric in a document nobody has open, everything that moves the song forward stays in one place.
How is Cord different from using voice memos and a notes app?
Voice memos and notes keep your ideas, but they keep them apart, and neither one includes your collaborators. In Cord a recording, the bookmarks inside it, the lyric it became, and everyone working on it are the same session. You do not have to reassemble the song from four apps every time you come back to it.
Can two people work on the same lyric at the same time?
Yes. Lyrics update live for everyone in the session, and each line shows who wrote it, so there is no passing files back and forth and no guessing which version is current.
What are audio bookmarks?
An audio bookmark marks an exact moment inside a recording, so the chorus idea buried ninety seconds into a three-minute take is one tap away instead of a scrub and a guess. Bookmarks are shared with the session, so collaborators can point at the same moment rather than describing it.
Does the AI lyric helper write the song for me?
No. The lyric helper is optional. Once you have a few lines down it can suggest a next line based on what you have already written, and it can find rhymes when you are stuck. You decide what to keep, so the song still sounds like you.
Are my sessions saved if I close the app?
Yes. Sessions are stored in the cloud and sync across your devices, so recordings, bookmarks, and lyrics are all there when you come back to the song.
Is Cord available on Android?
Cord is available now on iOS. An Android link is coming soon.
